Yaquina Bay Yacht Club (YBYC) is Newport's oldest yacht club.  YBYC was established in October of 1947, at the request of the Newport Chamber of Commerce.  The Club's main focus then - and still today - is the promotion of recreational boating in the Newport area.

In November of 2004 we dedicated our new Clubhouse, built by volunteers and serving as a meeting place for our expanding membership.  The Clubhouse is located on the Bayfront, and has a beautiful view of the waterfront and the Yaquina Bay Bridge.  The Clubhouse is available to rental for your meetings and special events. We are dedicated to fun, education, safety and good sportsmanship in boating.  We offer many social activities for the enjoyment of our members.  Please consider joining.
